Spotlighting Africa’s Leadership on Health Data Governance

Transform Health will join Foreign Policy’s Health Forum on 24 September, part of FP @ UNGA81 (23–24 September 2026), for a fireside chat on Africa’s leadership in health data governance.

Our CEO, Mathilde Forslund will join Dr Jean Kaseya, Director General of Africa CDC (invited), in a conversation led by Allison Carlson, Executive Vice President of FP Analytics – exploring the Continental Health Data Governance Framework: looking at the stronger legislative and regulatory foundations that health data and AI now demand, and why regional leadership on this offers a model for global alignment.

The timing is significant. With the Framework due to be validated by AU Member States in Addis Ababa in early October, and adoption anticipated at the AU Summit in February 2027, UNGA81 is a timely moment to spotlight the continent’s role in shaping how health data and AI are governed.
