AU Member State validation of the Continental Health Data Governance Framework

Africa CDC, in collaboration with Transform Health, will convene a two-day continental validation workshop from 21-22 October 2026, bringing together 55 AU Member States and strategic partners to review and validate the draft African Continental Health Data Governance Framework, ahead of its anticipated adoption at the AU Summit in February 2027.
The Framework was developed under the leadership of Africa CDC and co-created with AU Member States, with technical support and tools from Transform Health. It aims to help Member States build secure, ethical, interoperable and sovereign health data governance systems, as health systems across the continent rapidly digitalise.
