Multi-stakeholder inputs on a draft World Health Assembly Resolution on Safe and Trustworthy Governance of Artificial Intelligence and Data in Health
The Sultanate of Oman is leading the development of a resolution on Safe and Trustworthy Governance of Artificial Intelligence and Data in Health, co-sponsored by China, Egypt, Somalia, Switzerland, and Tunisia, with a view to consideration by WHO Member States at the 80th World Health Assembly in May 2027. This builds on the strong political support and convergence among Member States during this year’s 79th World Health Assembly in May 2026.
Transform Health has been tasked with conducting an independent multi-stakeholder consultation to gather views from a diverse range of stakeholders on the proposed resolution. A summary report of key themes, priorities, and recommendations will be shared with Member States as one source of stakeholder input for their consideration.
What the consultation includes
The consultation brings together several strands of stakeholder input:
- Global survey. Open to all stakeholders, this survey takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete and closes on Friday, 30 October 2026.
- Focus group discussions. Structured discussions with stakeholder groups to explore priorities and concerns in greater depth than a survey allows.
- Key informant interviews. One-to-one conversations with individuals holding particular expertise or perspective on the governance of artificial intelligence and data in health.
- Digital Health Week consultation. A dedicated consultation session during Digital Health Week 2026, 2 to 8 November. Details coming soon.
The outputs from the consultation will be synthesised in Multi-stakeholder consultation report, capturing inputs from across these strands. This report will be published in early November and shared with Member States.
Take part in the survey
Your answers will be treated confidentially and will not be attributed to you. Inputs will be aggregated and anonymised in the report summarising stakeholder feedback.
Please submit your responses by Friday, 30 October 2026.
